Sabre 58 Maine to Florida Day 4

Outside, the wind was blowing 25-30 knots out of the west. They made the call to hug the beach and stay close to shore giving them a little relief from the wind. This was the first day that Captain Eli and Sven had some real seas and wind to test the handling of Sabre 58 which has run fantastic in the smaller seas since it left Maine. Sea conditions were a 4-5 ft following sea and the boat performed beautifully. They were able to run around 25/26 knots the entire trip to Georgetown, SC, where they hunckered down for the night! To quote Captain Eli, "The boat ran awesome in a downwind sea!"

Sabre 58 Maine to Florida - Day 2

Captain Eli and Sven did not start off with a dream day on the water, but by the afternoon, sea conditions were what most of us dream of while cruising.  The day began with 15-20 knot winds from the west with a 3'-4' sea on the starboard beam.  Winds subsided to 5 knots or less and 0' seas in the afternoon.
