Our New York Yacht Broker, Andrew Cousins, joined our customer, Rick Cummings, at Brewer’s Pilots Point in Bridgeport, Connecticut, for a journey on Rick’s Sabre 47 Motor Yacht to Glen Cove, New York. Here is a synopsis from Andrew on how the trip went:
“I drove from our office to the Port Washington ferry, and took the ferry to Bridgeport, CT, where I met Rick. We drove to the boat which was located at Brewer’s Pilots Point in Westbrook, CT. Rick and I went over the boat together and got comfortable with systems and basic operations. The boat was immaculate when we arrived. We then took a trip to West Marine so Rick could get cleaning supplies. We had dinner and stayed the night in Westbrook. Got up at 5am the next day, had breakfast and shoved off the dock at just after 7am in thick fog. The boat preformed amazing and we never had one issue. Ran at around 2600 RPM and cruised at just under 20 knots. The trip was around 4 hours total, all in fog except for our approach to glen cove when it broke. Got to Glen Cove, tied the boat up and Rick started his cleaning process, again!”
A Trip from Bridgeport, CT to Glen Cove, NY!
