Are you one of those people who look under the hood of the car just because you’re supposed to, even though you have no idea what you’re looking at?  It’s ok to admit it…you’re among friends.

If you are one of those people, we think you’ll still be drooling over what the engine room on the all new Sabre 58 Salon Express offers.  Let’s take a quick walkthrough of the major components with a picture guide below.  First and foremost, the tidiness strikes you as you glance down from the aft cockpit.  As you step down the ladder, which is angled just right for the decent, you begin to realized the incredible size of this space.  In all honesty, pictures do not do the volume of this room justice.

From the platform on centerline, look both port and starboard and you have a clear view of the twin Volvo D11 725hp engines and the Volvo IPS 950 propulsion systems.  You’ll also find the racor filters extremely accessible just fwd of the engines on both the port and starboard outboard bulkhead.  The 21.5kW Onan generator sits centerline aft and the optional Seakeeper 16 is centerline fwd.  As you look to the port fwd corner, you’ll find all of the air conditioning condensers neatly organized and easily accessible.  Finally, you’ll find your main breaker panel on the fwd bulkhead of the engine room, neatly labeled and organized.  One last optionaly piece of equipment worth mentioning are the Garmin cameras giving you a visual of your engine room while cruising.

We have to, again, applaud the Sabre Design Team, Sabre Engineers and the Sabre Craftsmen and Craftswomen (this includes all of the folks from fiberglass, electrical, mechanical, woodworking and completion) whose endless hours of work has paid off and is reflected in this magnificent mechanical and electrical machine!
