Whether you’re out at sea or celebrating on land, this Butter and Brown Sugar Shrimp recipe is the perfect appetizer to ring in the New Year!
Ingredients:
- 1 pound shrimp, cleaned and deveined
- 7 thick pieces of bacon, cut into thirds
- 4 tablespoons salted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon chipotle powder
Directions:
Preheat over to 400 degrees fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment. Wrap each shrimp with 1 slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Place on the baking sheet. In a bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar and chipotle powder. Brush each bacon-wrapped shrimp with the butter mixture. (Save any extra butter mixture for basting) Bake the shrimp until cook through, about 4-5 minutes. Switch the oven to broil and brush the shrimp with the remaining butter mixture. Broil for approximately 1-2 minutes until bubbly. Serve immediately!
