The Hunt 36 Express is the big brother to the popular 33. The 36 offers more space above and below, more power, speed and increased range, and even more capability at sea. The hull is optimized for speed and efficiency, the theme demonstrated first with the Hunt 33. Careful weight control, use of a single high-output lightweight diesel, a large-area five-blade propeller, and the latest refinements in the Hunt deep-V combine to provide a top speed in the high 20 knot range and a low cruise speed of 12 knots - still on plane. Range is 300-plus nautical miles at 20 knots on its 200-gallon fuel capacity. More space below allows a larger head and galley and more lockers. On the bridgedeck, there is an additional 2 feet more length than on the 33, making room for twin helm and mate chairs and an L-settee with expandable dining table. Six inches was added to the cockpit length.
