(SOLD) 2008 Sabre 42 Hard Top Express

New Listing!

This is a very special opportunity to acquire a lightly used and well cared for version of the venerable 42' Hardtop Express. With her equipment list and condition set, "Slipped Away" is heads and shoulders above the crowd.

She also features the very functional and desirable single cabin layout. The layout offers the same spacious primary cabin and ensuite head with shower forward, but creates an "open feel" salon and galley space, like a great room in a home. Beyond the "feel" of the design, it delivers a great deal more seating, a convertible berth, and a galley with nearly double the counter space and storage than the two cabin version.

Some of the other notable features of the boat include:

  • Recent Flagblue Awlgrip Hull, including a professional fairing job (2021)
  • Updated electronics with modified helm pod  Modified helm pod to accommodate the biggest and most powerful Garmin 8624 MFD, along with radar, sonar and forward scanning sonar  (2021)
  • New lower units on Zeus Pods (2021)
  • Low hours on Cummins 425 hp QSB's, with recent 500 hours service
  • New cabin A/C units and new helm deck air handlers
  • Spacious single cabin layout
  • Varnish on exterior in excellent shape
  • New aft enclosure
  • Updated sump pump system, upgraded salon dimmers, engine dipsticks (calibrated), head hose replacements and .a long list of proactive preventative maintenance.

Close to the end of this models production run, this hull benefited from many enhancements as the model years progressed.  These along with all of the updates and current service make her show as a much newer boat.

All of this is wrapped up in the excellent seakeeping ability, nimble performance and the fuel economy that the Sabre 42 with pods has become famous for. The model is well regarded and this particular example will not disappoint.
