Zach Connell

Born and raised in Whitman, MA, some of my fondest childhood memories are of spending summers camping in Maine’s Lakes Region. My father especially loved it here—so much so that he decided to retire to the area in 2019 and built his dream home on Sebago Lake.

In early 2020, I lost my job in Massachusetts due to the pandemic and made the decision to move to Bridgton, ME to be closer to him. Looking back, it was one of the best choices I’ve made, as it gave us valuable time together before his unexpected passing in 2022. We spent countless days fishing and cruising on Sebago in the pontoon boat, and to this day, you’ll still find me out on the water most of the summer.

My boating and waterfront experience has been primarily on lakes like Sebago and Long Lake. Over the past few years, I’ve worked summers at a boat and jet ski rental company on Long Lake and winters for a dock and stair manufacturer—always keeping close to the water.

When I’m not on the lake, I’m usually at the gym, playing fetch with my dog, or watching videos about offshore powerboat racing. So when a year-round opportunity opened up at DiMillo’s, I jumped at the chance. I’m excited to take this next step and grow into a whole new class of boating.
