Trescott Haugen

I was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and moved to New Hampshire with my family before starting public school. Growing up in New Hampshire provided me with a wealth of experiences, including ice hockey, downhill skiing, and ski jumping. Summers were spent traveling to Maine to visit my grandmother at her summer cottage on the Belgrade Lakes. She grew up in Portland and often recalled her childhood journey, taking the train from Union Station to the Belgrade Depot and then finishing the trip by horse and buggy to the lake.

I attended Keene State College in New Hampshire, where I majored in Electronics. After graduating, I began my career in technology and computer sales. My strong technical skills and genuine personality led to an opportunity to relocate to Maine, where I worked in Information Technology, drawn by both my passion for the lake and my family roots in Portland. Over the years, my career has spanned industries such as insurance, semiconductor, healthcare, finance, and the public sector.

My love for the water and boating began early at the lake, where I enjoyed sailing, paddling, and waterskiing. My family was resourceful, maintaining and repairing outboard engines and boats. Marine technology has long fascinated me, and it quickly became one of my favorite hobbies. This passion eventually led me to restore and repower several boats, an accomplishment I take great pride in. The team and positive work culture at Dimillo’s align with my values and provide a fantastic environment to deliver world-class service.

Outside of work, my wife, children, and I enjoy community service, skiing in the winter, exploring national parks, camping, boating, and spending quality time with family and friends.
