After years of sailing, many sailors find themselves at a crossroads. Those who come to this decision perhaps do not want, or cannot keep up with the physical demands of sailing. Others lack the time to sail from point A to point B. Regardless of the reason, we know it can be an emotional journey as one makes the transition to the infamous ‘dark side.’ Many of our clients who make the shift have chosen Back Cove Yachts for this move. With the sailboat heritage (Back Cove is a sister company to Sabre Yachts), traditional lines, a practical layout, single diesel engine, fuel efficiency and minimal exterior teak, it’s an ideal move into the power boat world.
Meet Bernie and Irene who have sailed on the Chesapeake Bay for years. Recently, after a small taste of power boating, they met up with Oxford, Maryland, broker Pete Dierks and are excited to have Back Cove 37, hull #195, on order. Their new boat is currently in build at the Back Cove Yachts facility in Rockland, Maine. We are excited to share this build and delivery journey with Bernie and Irene. Join us as the fine craftsmen and craftswomen put this stunning beauty together.
