Marine Service Technician
DiMillo’s Yacht Sales is seeking a Marine Service Technician to join our close-knit team in West River, Maryland. This is a fast paced, productive, and rewarding position. You will be involved in all aspects of commissioning, troubleshooting, decommissioning, delivery, and on-going maintenance. Self-motivation, a good work ethic and attention to detail are important. Job Requirements:
• Mechanical background. Electrical background. General boat systems knowledge.
• Demonstrate understandings of marine systems, vessel operation, vessel construction, and troubleshooting principles.
• Detail oriented with a focus on producing quality results.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to perform well and produce an excellent product with defined outlines, under strict scheduling, with minimal supervision.
• Desire to learn new technologies and skills.
• Willing and able to use specific software for tracking jobs and work orders.
• Flexible, goal oriented, team focused.
• Capable of lifting 50lbs, occasionally more.
• Ability to commute to West River, Maryland Monday through Friday, occasional weekends.
• ABYC Certification is valued.

Responsibilities Include:
• New boat commissioning including but not limited to: hull work, new systems, custom request installs, sea trialing, and varnish.
• Maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, and repairs on new and pre-owned vessels, including annual mechanical maintenance.
• Identify, report, and correct warranty items.
• Perform spring commissioning and fall decommissioning on power boats ranging from 20’ to 70’.
• Provide estimates.
• Build relationship with our clients. Make recommendations for improvements.
