In honor of National Siblings Day, we want to acknowledge sister companies, Sabre and Back Cove Yachts.
Sabre Yachts has been in business since 1970 crafting luxury Maine-built yachts. The company started out producing 28 foot sailboats and throughout the years built 28-45 foot sailing vessels. In 1989, Sabre debuted the 36 foot Sabreline Trawler which launched Sabre’s motor yacht range. Sabre eventually retired their sailboat lines and transitioned to only producing power boats. The current models range from 38-58 feet.
In 2003, sister company, Back Cove Yachts was founded. This came to fruition after a group of Sabre owners and dealers requested a smaller Downeast-style cruising boat that was fuel efficient and dependable. The Back Cove 29 was launched soon after and was a hit amongst boaters. The current models range from 34-41 feet, with two outboard models.
Sabre and Back Cove Yachts are Maine’s largest recreational boatbuilding companies and are crafted in the Maine tradition combining a classic and modern design with industry-leading quality.
