It’s the unofficial last weekend of Summer and we expect all of our boaters to be making the best of the great weather out on the water. These simple “make-ahead” pork sliders are a great meal for you and your guests as you cruise the water.
Roast a pork shoulder up to 3 days before you plan to prep the sliders. One the day you plan to serve, shred the pork and mix it with your choice of BBQ Sauce. Grab slider buns and layer the bottom halves in a baking pan. Top with the shredded pork and replace the tops of the slider buns. Combine butter, Worcestershire Sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and some poppy seeds (optional but adds a great flavor) and microwave for about 45 seconds until completely melted. Pour mixture over the sliders in the baking pan. Cover with foil and bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes. Once cooled, remove the tops of the buns again and top with your favorite cole slaw. Replace tops and enjoy!
