SailMaine is a non-profit community sailing center on the Portland waterfront. Their mission is to foster an inclusive community, cultivate personal growth, and inspire a love of sailing through affordable access to the waters of Maine. Their vision is a future where all people, especially youth and regardless of background, are positively impacted by community sailing.
SailMaine raised $265,000, due to community support, to purchase 14 new (to them) J/22s from Sail Newport, replacing their aging fleet. This upgrade enables a more enjoyable and reliable experience for youth , adults, and families across the SailMaine programs.
