This amazing smoke white Sabre 48 Salon Express, Barchetta , began her journey leaving Sabre Yachts in Raymond, Maine, and was transported over the road to our Freeport, Maine, yard. (See the previous blog post for photos of the Barchetta arriving) From here, she was launched and made way to our Portland, Maine, location where commissioning was finished. Have a look at the photos of the 22 inch Garmin screens that our NY Service Manager, Dan Loring, installed with perfection and not an inch to spare!
Since that time, Barchetta’s new owner took delivery in Maine and headed on her maiden voyage to New York with, you guessed it; Captain Eli. Once in New York, a 25 hour Pod service was performed along with a few more customizations to finalize her transformation into this breathtaking example of stellar craftmenship.
By the way, do you know the meaning of Barchetta? The DiMillo’s team was clueless as to the meaning, but the owner clarified for us. The Italian meaning is “little boat” and while this is a big boat to the new owners, there is always someone who has a bigger boat!
This morning, Captain Eli embarked on the trip south to Florida where Barchetta will visit for the winter months. Wishing him fair winds and following seas.
