Back Cove 412 Hull Infusion

When building the hull of a Back Cove Yacht, the builder uses a Vacuum Infusion Process (VIP). This technique uses vacuum pressure to infuse resin into a laminate, providing the best possible resin to fiberglass ratio, and resulting in the lightest, yet strongest, parts available.

These photos show the hull infusion process of a Back Cove 412, where the signature Downeast style begins to take shape. As the foundation for what will be a seaworthy, elegant vessel, this mold is the first step in bringing the 412 to life.
