The Kittiwake is a very handsome wood downeast cruiser built by the very reputable Hodgdon Bros in East Boothbay, circa 1951. It offers some great updates including a 3116 Cat Diesel, bow thruster, inverter, and new wiring (1998). AccommodationsThis classic wood cruiser offers a layout as follows: large aft recessed cockpit with deck hatch to bilge and aft bench seat for four. Wide side decks along pilot house and trunk cabin to foredeck, with anchor pulpit and windlass. From cockpit step forward into wheel house with a hatch below decks to engine room and fuel tanks. Cabin sole is finished in carnished teak flooring. Helm station is starboard forward with new electric panelos and battery switches below helm. Opposite to port is a settee, lockers and fold out dinette. Forward and stepped down is a salon area. Portside is a Paul E. Luke wood or coal fireplace. Opposite is a galley area with 12VDC refrigerator, microwave sink and ample storage. Mid cabin offers port ans starboard settees which both convert to over and under berths. Copper freshwater tanks are underneath. Forward to port is a head with shower and curtain. Opposite is a full a hanging locker. Forward cabin has a small vee berth and forecastle area with acess to an 8D battery and bow thruster. The Kittiwake is immaculate, bright and cheery.
